Prepare the Coffee Dip
- Start by brewing a strong cup of decaf coffee or a coffee-flavored herbal tea. Allow it to cool completely.
Make the Mascarpone Cream
- In a large mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, cream cheese, and granulated sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Whip the Cream
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
Dip the Ladyfingers
- Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the cooled coffee, ensuring not to soak them.
Layer the Cake
- In a springform pan, layer dipped ladyfingers, followed by half of the mascarpone cream. Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and the remaining cream.
Chill the Cake
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Decorate
- Dust the top with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings or fresh berries if desired.
